DSTRCT has been drawn to music his whole life and credits his older sister for introducing him to rock music with the likes of Nirvana, No Doubt, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, The Doors, and Janis Joplin. By middle school, he recorded his earliest compositions on a Sony laptop, completely immersing himself in hip-hop by high school. DSTRCT honed his skills throughout college before opting to leave and pursue his dream full-time. It was his unique cadence, moody undertones, and clever lyrics that caught the attention of GRAMMY® Award-winning, multi-platinum chart-topping producer, Mustard. Impressed, the mega-producer signed him to 10 Summers Records in 2022, and DSTRCT has continued to soar in his music career ever since. Continuing a California tradition of innovation, DSTRCT rolls out with a smooth, slick, and sizzling flow of his own, rapping straight from the heart with a whole lot of hunger. The Los Angeles native introduced himself as an inimitable force on his debut EP, Installation 001 kickstarted by the single “O.T.” DSTRCT continues to establish himself, with his recent release of new single “For What It’s Worth,” and his new EP, Installation 002, dropping in July.
