AMIRAH
Amirah Hall, born in Norfolk and raised in Hampton, Virginia began learning to play the piano at the age of three and a half and got her first solo singing opportunity in the church choir when she was seven years old. The world shut down halfway through Amirah’s 8th-grade year due to the pandemic, and the budding singer-songwriter found herself stuck at home. That’s when she took the plunge on TikTok, publishing her first video in March 2021. Three months later, she went viral with a stirring performance of Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever,” which has over 11 million views. She signed with Mustard’s Grammy-winning label, 10 Summers/Interscope Records, six months later. Amirah's debut EP, Wish It Wasn't You, is a blissfully innocent romp through the unbridled thoughts of a boy-obsessed 18-year-old girl. Anchored by the playful “Tokio,” self-love anthem “Beautiful,” and the powerhouse title track, the brilliant 6-song project, executive produced by Mustard, is filled with lush chords and enticing melodies that are destined to resonate with listeners of all ages.
